چکیده
Aim: To present the long-term results of bicanalicular silicone tube intubation combined with external dacryocystorhinostomy (EDRS) in-patient nasolacrimal duct obstruction (NLDO)
Methods: Long-term 169 eyes patients who underwent between January 2010 and December 2020 in our clinic were evaluated, retrospectively. On postoperative 1st day, 10th month, 3rd 6th 9th 12th last visits, evaluated. Especially on day for signs infection, position, tension, placement tube, presence epiphora. Silicone tubes removed 6 months after surgery. Surgical success; The disappearance patient's symptoms was evaluated as lacrimal drainage open.
Results: 102 cases female 67 male. mean age-standard error 55,48±1,36. Our average follow-up-standard 47,83±2,27 months. failure occurred two patients. These severe bleeding during surgery flaps formed difficulty. In these cases, revision surgeries performed an internal approach surgical success achieved both them. patients, dacryocystorhinostomy, rate 98,76% first operation 100% second operation.
Conclusions: Considering silicon operations, it is most effective method highest canal obstruction.

Silicone Intubation Indications in External Dacryocystorhinostomy
External dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) is the gold standard surgical technique for the treatment of nasolacrimal duct obstruction (1). Since its introduction by Gibbs in 1967, intubation with silicone tubes has been widely used in lacrimal duct surgery (2). However, effect of silicone intubation on patency of lacrimal system during external DCR in cases of primary nasolacrimal duct obstruction (N...
متن کاملPreventing Silicone Tube Extrusion after Nasolacrimal Duct Intubation in Children
Herein we report our experience with a simple technique for reducing the rate of silicone tube extrusion after nasolacrimal duct (NLD) intubation for congenital NLD obstruction. Medical records of children older than 2 years, with or without history of failed probing, who had undergone NLD intubation with a Crawford silicone tube over a period of 4 years were reviewed. In all subjects, one end ...

Between 1971 and 1976 eight patients underwent excision of the carpal lunate for pain from Kienböck's disease. The bone was replaced by a silicone rubber implant. An average of 84 months had elapsed when they were reviewed in December 1980. All eight were very satisfied with their operations. Objectively, the clinical results were good, but radiographs showed the presence of degenerative change...
متن کاملLong-term results of closed nasolacrimal intubation in adults.
. PURPOSE Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) is the standard surgical treatment for adult nasolacrimal duct obstruction. There have been relatively few studies of closed nasolacrimal duct intubation in adults. The aim of this study was to determine rates of anatomic patency following this procedure. METHODS The authors carried out a survey of all patients undergoing closed nasolacrimal duct intuba...
